Frequently Asked Questions

You've got questions, we've got answers!

How much does it cost?

We offer an affordable three-tier system, based on our authors' needs.

What does the cost of publishing with SGP include?

Editing, formatting, newsletter promos, listing on Amazon and KU, at least 10% toward promotion

How long is the contract for?

5 years

Do I have rights to my work once I sign a contract?

We own the publishing rights as well as the rights to all audio, video, and translations. We own the COPYRIGHT to any edit and the audiobooks.

Will my books be on audiobooks?

Not at this time, however, in the near future, the bestselling books will be featured on Audible.

Do I get any free copies of my book?

Only e-copies upon request, but you may only send 10 copies out.

Will I have paperback available, and how can I receive copies?

Yes, paperback is included with publishing. On the first of every month, our authors will have the opportunity to order paperbacks.

I am a new author. What does that mean for me?

You’ll receive support from other authors and automatically be entered into an extended family. The authors work together to help each other succeed. If there are any questions, they will be answered truthfully and efficiently to prevent our authors from being lost. We also provide support and motivation to keep writing for success.

Do I need my manuscript completed?

Generally, an MS needs to have been started if not completed. We try to be lenient, however, a completed MS turned in within 6 weeks post-contract signing is ideal.

Do I need to have a certain amount of books published within a calendar year?

We want the same things for our authors as they do—to succeed and make a living out of writing. This is why in our contracts, our authors are required to publish two books per year.

I have more questions, but they are not listed on the Frequently Asked Questions.

No problem! Drop an e-mail to stainedglasspublishing@gmail.com and we will answer any questions or concerns you may have.
